A paragraph about the new skills you acquired from working on the Web Design assignment. What design principles did you use when designing your website? Be specific; give examples of how you used design principles! Reflect on what you liked/disliked about the assignment. How can you use website design skills in your future career? Post a QR code that links to your website . I really enjoyed the Web Design assignment. I really wanted to ensure my website flowed and being able to link each tab to the main page made it easy for navigation to the user. I included pictures, banners, and other elements. Something I struggled with was sizing the information so that it would fit on the page. I can use website design skills in the future when making a homeroom website page for my own classroom of third graders.  Think some more about QR codes. In a paragraph, describe a creative way you might use QR codes in your classroom. It's fine to do a Google search for some inspiration. I woul...

A paragraph about your experience with blogging. What do you like/not like about blogging? What have you learned so far during the blogging process? I personally really like blogging, it really allows me to group together my thoughts in a very cohesive way for the prompt I am trying to answer. The blogging style forces me to know how to say what I want to say in a very effective way. Something I struggle with, with blogging, is keeping each blog to the same standard as I did the previous blog. Sometimes I can find more information for one topic than another and this can result in one blog post being better than another.  A paragraph about an interesting Web 2.0 tool that you might use when teaching. Do not choose a tool we have already covered (e.g., blogs, Instagram, Pinterest, Padlet). Write a brief review and include a link to the tool. A web 2.0 tool I will use during teaching is Google Docs. Google Docs is a platform that can be used as a writing aid that can allow students to...

The standard I chose was from Computer Science (Starting 2025-2026), specifically Grade 3: Strand SC.3.CC: Communication and Collaboration, Standard 2 SC.3.CC.2 : Identify uses of technology and responsible uses of modern communication. Within this standard includes how to use technology to send communication. I see this in the form of parent teacher digital newsletters, weekly emails to the parents, and pop up announcements in the students digital learning platform. Based on my current skill set I would feel comfortable implementing this standard and feel that I can implement the standard well in the classroom.  In the CPALMS, I selected a third grade science resource tool, titled “Words of Science”. I believe this resource can be used in my teaching by helping by showcasing a video on my class's smart board connected to my in person instruction furthering the understanding of the material for the students. For science lessons specifically the resource tool offers a variety of dif...

A paragraph about your experience using MS Word as a student (both in K-12 and at FSU). Do you prefer another word processing software (e.g., Google Docs or Pages)? If so, why do you prefer to use this word processing software? Growing up in Orange County Public Schools in Orlando Florida, MS Word was a skill I got to learn pretty early in the elementary computer lab. I even took a class on how to use the program in high school. I personally have a good experience with the program and it helps me with many formatting exercises or formal assignments. I do however though, prefer Google Docs simply due to the user friendliness of the platform and in that the work can be saved across multiple devices easier.  A paragraph about the   ISTE Standards for Educators  (Links to an external site.) . Select the standard that is most meaningful to you.  Have you learned anything new about it? Are there any lingering questions, concerns, or ideas? Feel free to share your re...

1 paragraph about what you hope to learn in this class and how you will apply it in the future. I am very excited to take this course, as technology is something we use everyday in our lives and can always be improved upon in how we use it as a resource. Something in particular I am looking forward to in this course is going over presentation skills. I feel that making presentations is something I will have to be very comfortable with in my career so knowing how to go about doing that the right way is important. Also, I am looking forward to looking more into how to use social media to engage with students, I feel this will help in the future with knowing how to connect learning material to what students may want to engage with the most to retain material being taught.  1 paragraph about your prior experiences using technology in an educational setting My prior technology usage in an educational setting can be most seen when I had to teach my high school's Freshman and Sopho...
